Ethereum ETF raises $26 million as Bitcoin ends 7-day rally

Bitcoin ETFs Lose $225 Million, Net Assets Fall Below $80 Billion

The week's strongest trend in crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) has come to an abrupt end. After attracting nearly $1 billion in seven trading days, Bitcoin funds experienced a sharp reversal as investors withdrew more than $225 million.

Ethereum ETFs demonstrated greater resilience, extending their inflow streak to a fifth straight session, highlighting the growing divergence between the two largest institutional crypto markets.

Blackrock Leads Bitcoin ETF Reversal

Blackrock's IBIT ETF led the outflows from Bitcoin funds, recording an outflow of $202.48 million. This accounted for approximately 90% of the total net outflows in this category. Bitwise's BITB fund lost $7.03 million, while Fidelity's FBTC saw outflows of $5.64 million. Franklin Templeton's EZBC fund lost $5.61 million, and ARK 21Shares' ARKB lost $4.30 million.

Morgan Stanley's MSBT fund was the only Bitcoin fund to raise new capital, adding $5.01 million. Total Bitcoin ETF trading volume reached $1.63 billion. Total net asset value at the close was $78.82 billion, down from $80.36 billion the previous day.

This reversal ended a streak that had generated $999.38 million in net inflows. It also demonstrated how quickly demand can shift, even after several sessions of steady institutional buying. Ethereum Holds Ground Amid Altcoin Fund Struggles

Ethereum ETFs attracted $26.32 million, extending their positive momentum to five trading days.

Fidelity's FETH ETF led the way with $14.93 million in inflows. Blackrock's ETHA ETF attracted $8.49 million, and the ETHB ETF attracted $2.90 million. No Ethereum ETF reported net outflows. Trading volume across the entire category was $564.90 million, with net assets ending the session at $10.32 billion.

The inflow comes exactly two years after nine U.S.-based spot Ethereum ETFs began trading on July 23, 2024. Their launch opened a regulated channel for investors seeking direct exposure to the world's second-largest cryptocurrency. $HYPE ETFs continued to struggle, recording outflows of $1.02 million, entirely attributable to Grayscale's HYPG fund. Trading volume in this category totaled $8.84 million, with net assets at the end of the session reaching $294.15 million. Over the past 11 trading days, $HYPE funds have only seen inflows on one day, marking a noticeable slowdown from the strong demand seen following their debut.

$XRP and Solana ETFs saw no net inflows. $XRP funds ended the day with assets of $1.01 billion, while Solana products ended with $885.84 million.

Altcoin ETFs have not seen significant gains this week. $XRP, Solana, and $HYPE products have experienced intermittent inflows, quiet sessions, and outflows, leaving institutional demand focused solely on Bitcoin and Ethereum.
